Warranty Policy

This Warranty Policy explains how product warranties are handled for purchases made from CarTool India (“we”, “us”, or “our”) through www.cartoolindia.com (“Website”). By purchasing from us, you agree to the terms below.
1. Nature of Warranty
CarTool India is a distributor and reseller of automotive diagnostic tools, equipment, and software. Warranty on any product is provided as per the terms, conditions, period, and coverage defined by the respective product’s manufacturer, company, or OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer).
This means warranty:
- varies from product to product;
- depends on the brand / company / OEM of the product; and
- is subject to the specific warranty conditions set by that manufacturer or OEM.
CarTool India acts as a facilitator between you and the manufacturer/OEM for valid warranty claims.
2. Warranty Coverage and Period
- The applicable warranty period and the scope of coverage (e.g., manufacturing defects) are determined by the manufacturer/OEM of the specific product.
- Please refer to the product documentation, warranty card, or product listing for the warranty terms applicable to your specific product.
- For any clarification on a product’s warranty before or after purchase, you may contact us.
3. Warranty Claim Process
- To raise a warranty claim, contact us at contact@cartoolindia.com or +91-9109565095 with:
- your Order ID and registered mobile number;
- the product details and serial/IMEI number (if applicable);
- a description of the issue, along with supporting photos/videos.
- We will check the claim against the applicable manufacturer/OEM warranty terms to determine eligibility.
- If the claim is eligible, we will initiate the warranty process within 24 hours of confirming eligibility.
- The further resolution (repair, replacement, or service) and its timeline will follow the manufacturer’s/OEM’s warranty process, and may require the product to be sent to us or to the authorised service centre.
4. What Is Generally Not Covered
Unless expressly stated otherwise by the manufacturer/OEM, warranty generally does not cover:
- physical damage, breakage, water/liquid damage, or burn damage;
- damage due to misuse, mishandling, negligence, or improper installation;
- damage from incorrect voltage, power surge, or use with incompatible equipment;
- normal wear and tear, cables, connectors, and consumable accessories;
- products with tampered, altered, or removed serial numbers;
- products opened, repaired, or modified by unauthorised persons;
- issues arising from use not in accordance with the product’s intended purpose.
Final exclusions are governed by the respective manufacturer’s/OEM’s warranty terms.
5. Software and Subscriptions
- Software, license keys, activations, and subscriptions are covered only to the extent provided by the respective software provider/OEM.
- Functional support for software is handled under our Support Policy.
- Expiry of a subscription is not a warranty defect.
6. Shipping for Warranty Claims
Where a product needs to be sent for inspection, repair, or replacement, the applicable shipping arrangement and cost will be communicated based on the manufacturer’s/OEM’s warranty process and the nature of the claim.
7. Relationship with Other Policies
- Replacement for wrong, damaged-on-arrival, or non-delivered products is handled under our Refund and Cancellation Policy and Shipping and Delivery Policy, not this Warranty Policy.
- This Warranty Policy applies to defects/issues arising during the manufacturer’s/OEM’s warranty period after successful delivery and use.
